A young farmer named Luke joins a mission to save Princess Leia from the villainous Darth Vader. With the assistance of a wise old mentor named Obi-Wan Kenobi, a smuggler named Han Solo, and a droid team, R2-D2 and C-3PO, they embark on an odyssey across galaxies to deliver secret plans that could save the galaxy. They engage in spectacular combat and encounter weird species while attempting to defeat the despotic Empire and its planet-destroying weapon. As they collaborate, Luke realizes his own latent potential and learns about the strength of the Force. The film is about heroes, villains, and the conflict between good and evil in a distant galaxy.
