Diaz – Don’t Clean Up This Blood(2012)

July 2001. 200,000 demonstrators, primarily anti-globalization campaigners and Black Bloc anarchists, attempt to disrupt the G8 summit in Genoa. The authorities, determined not to allow them to achieve their goal, gave the anti-riot police complete control over repression.

The police superintendent chooses to conduct a nocturnal raid on the Diaz school, which serves as a sleeping quarters and a hub for those offering media, medical, and legal help. The film depicts the suffering endured by everybody who slept or worked there at the hands of the barbaric police forces, including furious baton strikes and shameful humiliation following arrests.
