Everybody ponders the great beyond, so it’s nothing unexpected when fiction revolves around inquiries of death and spirits. In the realm of Fade, powerful creatures known as Soul Collectors move human spirits from the universe of the living to the Spirit Society.

Yet, when a Collector is harmed while hunting an Empty (an immense animal known to hurt the two phantoms and people), she gives her Spirit Procuring powers to a teen kid who can see apparitions. Presently Kurosaki Ichigo needs to shuffle his new obligations with the universe of secondary school — and, true to form, many tormenting hijinks result.
